Item Description

A true classic from Colorado! Mt Antero might be known for producing some of the finest crystallized Aquamarines in North America, but it has also produced some iconic Fluorite specimens. This piece hosts soft purple and greenish colored octahedral Fluorites measuring up to 1.0 cm associated with minor cream colord Albite. No real damage that I can see with the naked eye, and certainly worth picking up if you collect worldwide Fluorites or minerals of Colorado. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#10315) with a label from the private collection of Scott Williams. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
