Item Description

An impressive 7.3 cm crystal dominates this sculptural and striking large cluster of intergrown mottled purple fluorite cubes dramatically, preferentially coated with sparkly, gemmy di-pyramidal (beta style) quartz crystals. This rare and outstanding fluorite and quartz is from a most obscure 1970s Durham fluorspar prospect on private property. Ex Dr. Stephen Moreton Collection and collected in 1993. It is illustrated in the MINDAT locality Photo Gallery with a September, 2018 photo by Dr. Moreton. An exceptional large combination rarity.
