Item Description
Elmwood fluorites with distinct phantoms, like this beauty, are rare. Two striking cubes with dramatically darker violet phantoms are aesthetically lined up with smaller cubes on the sculptural matrix plate of silicified limestone covered with intensely sparkly drusy quartz. The water-clear, highly lustrous cubes, to 3.0 cm, have frosted, intensely stepped-growth faces. Trivial bruising and a cleaved back corner to the large cube and damage to the base of the fluorite cluster are noted, but this remains an impressive and aesthetic combination example of this uncommon fluorite style from this famed locale. It displays well from several directions.
