Item Description
Dramatically sculptural, colorful and RARE color-zoned fluorite with striking accessories from this very obscure extinct Cave-in-Rock mine. Beautiful rich golden-amber to colorless, gemmy intergrown cubes with satin lustre faces have nifty, subtle lavender to light violet edge phantoms. The cubes reach 3.5 cm and the striking, raised near colorless cube with the phantom is 1.6 cm. Black bitumen preferentially coats the cubes and LW UV light reveals the cubes are included with fluorescent yellow hydrocarbons. The cubes GLOW, when back lit. Ex Ross Lillie Collection # 1411 and collected by Ross during pillar robbing in 1980. An outstanding rarity from this obscure mine.
