Item Description
The famous mines at Naica have produced some outstanding fluorite specimens and this is a most excellent, classic combination example. The very glassy and lustrous transparent crystals are cuboctahedrons with a pretty light mint-green color with beautifully accenting purple tints. The two cube faces on the large crystals are windows into the hearts of the crystals, which are framed by the lightly frosted cuboctahedral faces. The impressive large crystal is 4.9 x 4.5 cm. Bright metallic galena is attached to one end and that's a patch of gypsum lathes at the bottom of the piece. Pristine, except for the periphery wear. This is classic, old-time, seldom available fluorite from the famous finds of the 1960s and 70s. Ex Dennis Mullane Collection. Purple fluorescence. Fairly valued at $1000. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!
