Fluorite w/ Galena & Calcite (Ross Lillie Coll.)

Item Description

A very fine and sculptural two-sided combination specimen from the famous Denton Mine and the Ross Lillie Collection # 1099. An aesthetically intergrown cluster of lustrous, translucent, grape-purple flurorite cubes, to 3.6 cm, with frosted faces are dramatically accented with a very well-placed 2.4 cm splendent metallic modified galena cube, scattered gemmy calcite crystals and STRIKING radiation burns in the interior. The back adds much pizzazz, as the piece was dislodged from the vug wall, rehealed and then overgrown with larger gemmy calcite crystals, to 1.5 cm. Mined calculated 1980 and from the Mike Martin Collection. Ross' handwritten note on his label states: "Very fine combination specimen. Classic Denton." Valued at $500-750.
