Fluorite w/ drusy Quartz (Halpern & ex. Trimingham)

Item Description

Sharp, lustrous, translucent, pastel-pink, fluorite octahedrons to 2.0 cm (some doubly terminated) are richly and attractively set on the granite matrix on this very fine and rare combination piece from Chamonix. The octos have nifty preferential drusy quartz overgrowths. Nearly hidden on the fringes are a couple of rare small hematite plates and smoky quartz points. Rich purple fluorescence. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and acquired from his better-known neighbor / collector, Jack Halpern, in 1987.
