Item Description

Pretty sparkly reddish-orange hematite-infused drusy quartz dramatically, preferentially coats the faces of glassy, translucent fern-green fluorite cubes, to 1.7 cm. A few dolomite rhombs scattered about are a super accessory. This is a very colorful and excellent combination specimen from this well-known extinct mine. The display face is pristine, except for the acceptable periphery wear. Purple fluorite fluorescence. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 1491 and acquired at Christmas in 1959. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien-Welt" November-December 2017). Very showy and unusual combination material from this mine in a famous and historic German lead-fluorite mining district.
