Item Description

This impressive large fluorite crystal cluster is highlighted by the unusually well-defined hoppered growth on the top of the dominating 7.5 cm cube and for the beautiful color-zoning, that shows up when the piece is backlit. The moderately lustrous, translucent rich grape-purple cubes have frosted dense stepped-growth and smooth faces. The backlit photos did not capture the pretty sky-blue center of the large cube. Golden chalcopyite sphenoids, mostly on the hoppered face and scattered bladed barite clusters and a partial single galena crystal on the center of the back are fine accents to this dramatic large fluorite from the Roy Smith Collection and the famous Annabel Lee Mine.
