Item Description

Here we have a gorgeous specimen of Fluorite from the famous Naica Mine featuring many VERY GEMMY, soft lilac colored crystals measuring up to 1.3 cm on edge with no matrix. The crystals are mostly cubic in habit but features attractive dodecahedral modifications on the edges. No major damage that I can see on the display side, only a few minor imperfections. If you collet Fluorite or minerals from Mexico or Naica, don't miss out on this jewel of a specimen, as this particular style and color is rarely seen in today's market from this world-famous locality. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#6582). Kay was a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
