Fluorite (unusual Spinel twin)

Excellent and dramatic spinel twin Fluorite from the famous Erongo Mountains. We have not seen a larger example of this rare twinning habit from here! This very light bluish-green crystal (it has a more pastel color in person than in the photos) is completely gemmy, and has very good luster with surfaces that are water-clear to transparently frosted. The crystal is contacted where it grew from muscovite or feldspar at bottom, but actually IS complete and terminated, not broken anywhere. There are a few deep purple 'feathers' within the crystal, as well as fine Schorl needles. Certainly, one of the best and largest spinel twin Fluorites I have seen from here.
