Item Description

This locality is well-known for producing some of the most unique and attractive Fluorite specimens from anywhere. The Mahodari Fluorites are spherical in form, which is incredibly hard to find for the species. Typically, they are a golden to yellow hue, but this piece is vastly different as it has a dark brown color on the surface. When backlit, you can see a rich orange hue inside the Fluorite "balls", but they are notably brown in reflected light. The largest Fluorite "ball" measures 1.4 cm across. The underlying Quartz crystals make for a perfect contrast against the Fluorites. No damage, save the periphery where the piece was removed from the pocket wall.
