Fluorite (unique color combination)

Item Description

An attractive specimen from a discovery in 2017. We acquired a small parcel of these interesting and eye-catching Fluorite specimens from a good friend in Pakistan who confirmed that they were from the locality at Koh-i-Maran. A few other dealers in Pakistan have confirmed the locale for reference. These Fluorite are truly unique as not only have they formed outside of the typical pegmatites and metamorphic deposits in the area, but they features rare colors and combinations of color like we've never seen. With that said, this small cabinet display specimen hosts sharp, attractive gemmy cubic crystals of Fluorite free of matrix. The main color is mostly blue in sunlight (more of a silvery-purple hue in indoor lighting) but there are spots of a nearly colorless hue and rarely seen "smoky" colored zones (very similar to Smoky Quartz) that give the piece a truly distinctive look. It's well-crystallized on the front side, and the back is partially re-crystallized ("re-healed"), so it's complete nearly all the way around. The largest crystal measures 3.3 cm on edge. If you're a Fluorite collector, you need to add one of these to your collection as very few seem to be available on the market now, and the odd mix of colors makes it incredibly desirable for any fan of the species.
