Item Description
Most people don't think of Arizona as a state that produced Fluorite specimens. This piece is from the Homestake-Jack Pot Mine, and specimens from this locality are not commonly seen on the market. Even less is available than several years ago, as nothing has come out in a while. This small cabinet display specimen features attractive, gemmy, green, octahedral crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 2.8 cm across associated with minor Quartz on the front, sitting on Quartz matrix. The Fluorites are in good shape on the front (I found one contacted area on the corner), and the piece is sawn on the back. A really cool specimen of these hard to find specimens from this old gold mine in northwestern Arizona (near the Nevada Border). Priced at $825 in the inventory.
