Fluorite (uncommon locality specimen)

There are not many specimens from the Homestake-Jack Pot Mine on the market, especially these days, as nothing has come out in many years. This attractive small cabinet display specimen features gemmy, beautiful light green colored octahedral crystals of Fluorite measuring up to 1.8 cm across on Quartz matrix. No major damage that I can see, though the side of the larger Fluorite grew against the pocket wall, but it's still crystalline on the surface. It should be noted that while the Fluorite crystals are octahedral in shape, they actually have tiny modifying faces sprinkled all over, which appears to be a second generation overgrowing the original Fluorite crystals. A really cool specimen of these hard to find specimens from this old gold mine in northwestern Arizona (near the Nevada Border). Valued $750.
