Item Description
Riveting rich golden-yellow gemmy fluorite cubes with frosted faces are aesthetically intergrown on this colorful plate from this old fluorite mine. The stepped-growth cube on the left side is 2.4 cm. There is some purple fluorite on the back side as a bonus. Purple fluorescence. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 3686 and acquired in Europe in 1964. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). Rarely available excellent older fluorite from this mine.
