Item Description

Unusual, uncommon and showy small cabinet cluster of intergrown 2-generation cuboctahedral fluorite crystals from this less well-known Ag-Pb-Zn deposit in Inner Mongolia. Most of the secondary overgrowth crystal faces of the striking rich blue to purple crystals are glassy, water-clear and gemmy. The large 3.0 cm first generation crystal has a matte luster primary crystal face. The interior is nearly pristine, with only two small spots of bruising. The noted periphery wear is certainly acceptable. Most fluorites from this locality are cubes, making these 2-generation cuboctahedrons uncommon and unusual. Interestingly, no fluorescence on these fluorite crystals.
