Fluorite (twinned)

Item Description

Beautiful, mint-green cluster of penetration-twin Fluorites from the Xianghualing Mine in China. Old material from the earliest finds here! The smooth, glassy faces have a small amount of rolling texture to them. This allows a good appreciation of just how gemmy the interiors are, and how equally good the color is. The largest Fluorite is 3.7 cm on edge, which makes it a large twin, to be sure. There is just the tiniest bit of wear along some of the sharp edges, but the overall aesthetics remain strong. The intense blue fluorescence is excellent, and this a fine example of both the locality, and penetration twinning.
