Fluorite (''Tanzanite Fluorite'') on Quartz

A gorgeous small cabinet specimen of these distinctive Fluorites that have earned the nickname "Tanzanite Fluorite" for their beautiful purple color in indoor lighting, which shifts to more of a blue-purple color in sunlight, reminiscent of the purple and blue colors seen in Tanzanite crystals. It's important to note that the name of these specimens borrows Tanzanite merely as an adjective, and please note that there is no Tanzanite on the piece, the sobriquet is indicative of the color. This piece features many fine quality, well-formed, sharp crystals of gemmy richly colored Fluorite that show a combination of cubic and dodecahedral faces measuring up to 2.2 cm across sitting on a plate of attractive, silvery colored Quartz crystals on matrix. The Fluorite crystals are in great condition, and I can't find any major damage, outside of the periphery where the piece has been sawn (along with underside). These came out in 2017, and none since, so don't miss out, as we may never see them again. Valued $1,000.
