Sharp and aesthetic, this light pink fluorite is an impressive 1.8 cm tall and 1.5 cm on edge. It sits perfectly up on the matrix. One of the rare aspects of the fluorites on matrix from the Argentiere Glacier is that they are found on adularia, a rare association. For a Competition Level thumbnail, this is an OUSTANDING example because it has balance, and is on matrix; and really could not be any bigger and still be a thumbnail specimen. The thing about truly great matrix thumbnails is its easy to find loose singles of many things, but a balanced matrix makes the piece here, as well as in larger specimens.
