Fluorite (superb "floater" specimen)

Fluorites from the Okorusu Mine are among the finest and most colorful examples of the species around the world. I honestly can say without fear of contradiction that every color of the rainbow has been seen in Okorusu Fluorites, including colorless and black. The crystals themselves are typically textbook cubes, but they sometimes feature stepped modifications on the corners, giving them a cuboctahedral apperance. This particular specimen is a really hard to find piece from this mine in my experience, because it's a complete "floater" meaning it is crystallized 100% of the way around with no visible point of attachment. It came out in the early 2010s and hosts many superb quality, very sharp, VERY GEMMY, multicolor cubic crystals measuring up to 2.0 cm on edge. On the front side, with a bit of backlighting, you will see the crystals contain excellent internal "phantoms" with a mixture of intense purple, blue, green and even magenta hues. Some of the tiny crystals on the back show a unique combination of colorless "cores" with slightly "smoky" colored outer edges. This is a superb example of this modern classic material and will make a really nice addition to any collection. Priced at $1,500 in the inventory.
