Item Description
An excellent plate of classic, emerald-green GEMMY fluorites from the famous Rogerley Mine in England. The luster is excellent, fluorescence superb, and the plate is covered by dozens upon dozens of crystals. On top of these are six fairly large pairs of interpenetrating twins, containing crystals ranging up to 2.0 cm on edge. In sunlight or even halogen lights, they exhibit day-glow fluorescence and shows purple and green at the same time. A bit of bruising is noted, but you can hardly see it. The back has been sawed to enhance the display. Just a fine, aesthetic piece from modern operations here (collected in the last 10 years). These are gorgeous pieces, and I think extremely cheap for what you get in significance and color impact for an English fluorite. That will end (when the mine closes again) and prices go up. Valued $600-800.
