Item Description
A rare and fabulous, large fluorite crystal stalactite from the famous mines at Naica. This is really unusual! Sharp, highly lustrous and translucent, light gray fluorite octahedrons, to 4.5 cm on the diagonal, with frosted faces are dramatically stacked up on top of each other. Brownish quartz points to 4.4 cm (doubly terminated) and frosted, snow-white calcite rhombs are aesthetically scattered all-around the piece. Amazingly complete all-around essentially pristine, with only trivial, out of sight bruising on the back of the piece. RARELY available in this combination size and quality. Purple fluorescence. Old-time material certainly mined prior to the 1980s, from an old collection in Southern California. Ex David Bristol Collection. Valued at $1250-1500.
