Fluorite (Spinel Twin) with Schorl

Spinel twin Fluorites are always sought-after, but these even-more-rare elongated twins are coveted and valued highly. The crystals are frosted, with most of the interiors being gemmy to translucent. There is a forest green core that follows the long axis, winding its way through all the Fluorites like wavering kelp. The effect is quite interesting. The four distinct crystals grow upwards from a more massive Fluorite base. The largest of the Fluorites is 5.4 cm long, and the two sets of crystals intertwine like crossed fingers. This is an excellent set of Erongo Spinels twins - one of the more unusual and exemplary I have seen for the region. valued $1500
