Nice, gemmy Spinel Twin Fluorite from the famous Erongo Mountains. The crystal is totally gem clear, with frosted faces that are preferentially colored purple. Preferential effects on a crystal are always fascinating, and often add much to the aesthetics. The crystal is contacted along the base and the back, but it does not affect the presentation face. Spinel twins are relatively uncommon and are highly desired. This is a good example.
