Fluorite (Spinel Twin)

Item Description

Nice, gemmy Spinel Twin Fluorite from the famous Erongo Mountains. The crystal is basically gem clear with frosted faces that are preferentially colored purple. Preferential effects on a crystal are always fascinating, and often add much to the aesthetics. There is some green tinting near the base, and part of the small end of the crystals was contacted. Spinel twins are relatively uncommon and are highly desired. This is a good example.
