Item Description

An impressive and showy large combination plate from this well-known lead-zinc-fluorite mine in Alston Moor. Clusters and isolated, gemmy, lustrous, citron-yellow fluorite cubes with nifty edge phantoms, to 9 mm, and smaller colorless fluorite cubes cover the undulating quartz matrix. Well-placed scattered sphalerites are a stark contrast and fine accessories to this excellent large combination plate. Purple fluorescence. Ex Dr. Steven Moreton Collection and illustrated in the MINDAT locality Photo Gallery with a September, 2018 photo. It was collected in 2003.
