Item Description

An exceptional, aesthetic and RARE mounded combination from the famous Denton Mine. The lustrous, transparent to translucent, intergrown fluorite cubes with frosted stepped-growth faces are color-zoned with a very light blue/colorless edge phantoms above variable grape-purple with a light amber core. "Exceptionally large" bright golden chalcopyrite sphenoids, to 8 mm, dramatically highlight one side. Lustrous, partially gemmy rubyjack sphalerites, to 1.7 cm, grace two sides. Two generations of glassy calcite crystals, both scalenohedrons and flattend nailhead disks richly cover a side. Ex Ross Lillie Collection # 2284 and mined calculated 1986. Ross lists the large chalcopyrites as: "RARE". This outstanding and rare combination has multiple display views.
