Fluorite, Smoky Quartz, Quartz & Hematite (rare old classic)

Item Description

A RARE and very sculptural combination from this ancient mining district, known since the 12th century. Gem light green fluorite cuboctahedrons, to 8 mm, are aesthetically scattered on the striking cluster of scintillating hematite microcrystals coating glassy smoky quartz crystals, that turn into quartz crystals at their bases. Bruised smokies and periphery wear are noted, but are certainly acceptable in the context of this very rare and desirable old-timer. Undoubtedly over 100 years old, but no proof. An old numbered label is on the base. The base has been sawed to enhance the dramatic display quality.
