Beautiful rose-pink fluorite octahedrons to 1.4 cm are aesthetically flanked by gemmy, smoky quartz crystals with rich color and accented with feldspar on this very fine combination specimen from Pointe Kurtz. The octos have fine luster, translucence and rich color, which the photos highlight. This is a striking, two-sided piece, as the back has many more gemmy, stepped-growth smokies. The very nifty, isolated, doubly terminated, gem smoky on the edge is 1.2 cm. Complete all-around and very nearly pristine. All of the many fluorites are pristine. One broken smoky point is noted on the edge. The contacts appear to have been the feldspars. Excellent and highly desirable Alpine combination material from the Chamonix area. A true European classic. Valued at $2000-2500.
