The presitigous Okorusu Mine in Namibia is synonymous for producing some of the most attractive Fluorite specimens in the world. Not only has this mine given us a large number of excellent Fluorite specimens, they are also found in virtually every color of the rainbow (that included black and colorless). The range of colors combined with the incredibly high quality of the crystals make for incredibly desirable and beautiful display specimens. This hefty, robust cabinet sized piece is from a discovery in the late 1990s years ago and features a group of lustrous, VERY gemmy, intense blue-green colored cuboctahedral crystals measuring up to 3.8 cm across on edge. When backlit, the color really comes through and you can see a bit of "phantom" color zoning. The piece is in very condition overall with only a bit of roughness in a few peripheral spots where it was removed from the pocket wall. It's actually crystallized on the bottom as there are small silvery-purple Fluorite cubes on the underside of the piece. it would make a fantastic addition to any collection. Valued at $3,500 retail.
