Fluorite (rich color) (ex Shields Flynn Collection)

Item Description

A fantastic small cabinet display specimen that is loaded with sharp, lustrous, rather gemmy, intense green colored cubes (with small octahedral modifications on the corners) of Fluorite measuring up to 7 mm on etched cream colored Microcline matrix. There is a little bit of color zoning that can be seen in the Fluorites where the color is more saturated on the corners as opposed to the center of the crystals. Most of the Fluorites are pristine, though I can see a few small imperfections with the naked eye. Overall it's a wonderful example of this beloved material from Erongo. I especially like the fact that the saturation of color is so strong in what would be considered smaller crystals of Fluorite, as they are often much more pale when they're this size. Valued at $700.
