Fluorite (rich color)

Item Description

I've seen this material labeled as coming from near Kabul, or Nuristan or even Kandahar, but nobody seems to be able to pin down an exact locality, so I 'm leaving it simply as Afghanistan. This piece is incredibly saturated for the size, and remarkably gemmy. It has a super strong teal hue and a blocky octahedral form with decent internal gemminess. It's more of a reference specimen as it does have a few cleaves, but the rich color makes up for the damage in my mind. These specimens came out around 10 years ago, and I really haven't seen them since, so it was obviously a very limited find.
