Item Description
This rich and excellent fluorite and rhodochrosite combination from the renowned Sweet Home Mine holds a major unexpected surprise. Pretty lavender and teal-blue, stepped-growth fluorite cubes aesthetically cover the top of the piece. One side hosts pastel-pink rhodo rhombs, to 3 mm, a 2.0 cm section of hubnerite blade and quartz points. Both sides have granular tetrahedrite, pyrite and quartz in the matrix. The surprise, is that both sides LIGHT UP golden-yellow under LW UV light, as most of the granular quartz is actually fluorapatite! This fine and surprising combination rarity dates to the mid-1990s.
