Item Description

This is a very rarely seen PINK color Fluorite specimen from one of the most storied and well known districts in Colorado. The pegmatites near the Lake George area of Colorado have produced what most collectors and dealers consider to be the finest Amazonite specimens from the standpoint of superb color, top quality, wonderful display specimens and excellent associations. This particular specimen, has no Amazonite, but it does feature a crude, but notably pink color fluorite on Quartz matrix. To find Fluorite crystals with this color is quite unusual for this area, regarldess of quality. This piece was the only specimen from this claim to have any pink color whatsoever. Keep in mind that this specimen was collected over 35 years ago (September of 1975) when Richard Kosnar found some of the finest color Amazonite from Colorado extant. Don't miss out on this great Colorado "classic".
