Item Description

Mineral specimens of ANY variety are RARE from Cabresto Creek area of Taos County. This is a nifty cluster of lustrous, translucent, very intensely stepped-growth fluorite octahedrons with rich deep grape-purple color, that really glows when backlit. VERY INTERESTINGLY, all of the octo corners are tipped with tiny cubes! The large octo is 2.8 cm, tip to tip. There is a bit of green fluorite on the broken base of the piece. Bright purple fluorescence. Ex Ray DeMark and Chris Cowan Collections. A must for the locality or species collector. Extremely rare and excellent.
