Item Description
Beautiful, lustrous, transparent to translucent, densely intergrown, blue-green fluorite octahedrons with frosted faces form an impressive large mounded specimen from a NEW FIND at this obscure skarn-type Pb-Zn mine, where mining started in 2008 (MINDAT). The octos reach 5.3 cm on edge. MINDAT does not list fluorite from this boron-rich deposit. A dramatic 360-degree piece, that is pristine, except for modest out-of-sight basal contacting/periphery wear on the back side. A RARE and outstanding large fluorite. Bright purple fluorescence. Value? We feel $1500 is fair for rare style, quality and size.
