Item Description

A rare specimen of Fluorite from this fairly well-known Irish locality featuring translucent purple cubes measuring up to 7 mm on edge, associated with very pale yellow colored Smithsonite. The combination of the two species together on the same specimen from this mine is not easy to find. There are some rough spots, so the piece is not perfect, but it's still a good locality specimen for any worldwide Fluorite collector. The Sheshodonnell Mine is long closed and bulldozed and you'll never see any more specimens of this material again, so don't miss out on getting your hands on one of these incredibly rare and beautiful pieces from the British Isles.
