Item Description

A rarely seen pegmatitic Fluorite specimen from Brazil! Even though Fluorite is commonly found around the world, it's scare in the vast pegmatite deposits in Brazil. Sharp, lustrous, very gemmy, soft purple colored cubes of Fluorite measuring up to 6 mm are associated with prismatic black Schorl on white Albite matrix. A cool piece to add to a Fluorite suite or a Brazilian collection. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#11461). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
