Fluorite (rare locality)

Item Description

Here we have a very hard to find Fluorite specimen from the lesser-known Mandronarivo locality in Madagascar. I've only seen a handful of these in the last 6 years or so, and this miniature came to us from a friend who had it stashed away from a find in 2018. The piece features a prominent, sharp, very well-formed, translucent, rich blue-green colored cubic crystal measuring 3.1 cm on edge, with several smaller accenting Fluorite cubes, and a bit of attached matrix and pocket clay. When the piece is viewed from the side and backlit, you can see a VIBRANT band of rich green Fluorite on the outer edge, creating a very pleasing effect. The piece is in very good shape with only very minor imperfections. A great piece for any fan of worldwide Fluorites or minerals from Madagascar.
