Fluorite (RARE Locality!)

Fluorite specimens are rare enough from South Korea, (almost all the pieces you'll find for sale these days are from the well-known Tae Hwa Mine), but this piece is from the Wolak (Worak) Mine, a former tungsten-molybdenum producer. It is virtually impossible to find any specimens of any species from this locality for sale, and they only exist in old established collections. This piece is not only the finest Fluorite we've ever had to offer from the Wolak Mine it's the ONLY piece we've ever seen! If you collect Fluorites, this is a tremendous opportunity to pick up something for your collection that is essentially unreplaceable. Several complex groups of GEMMY Fluorite crystals are loaded with dozens upon dozens of small modifying faces, and oriented into octahedral form. The crystals are a very pale green color when backlit, turning essentially colorless on edges. The largest group measures 3.7 cm across. The piece is in very good condition, as the only damage is peripheral where the piece was removed from the pocket wall. It's impossible to put a fair market value on a unique piece like this, as I've nothing to compare it to, and I can't get another one, so DON'T MISS OUT. He started collecting seriously at the age of 14 and his great and varied worldwide collection reached over 6000 pieces. He was very active mineralogically until shortly before his passing in 2020 at the age of 82. Considering his collection had a large number of pieces, it still had an unusually high standard of quality from most worldwide localities. He particularly specialized in all classics as well as minerals of the Black Forest, where he spent much time collecting. His Black Forest and German subcollections went to his good friend Wolfgang Wendel.
