Mineral specimens of any type from this very obscure, old Hardin County fluorite mine are RARE. This is a striking mounded cluster of tightly intergrown fluorite cubes, to 2.7 cm. The gemmy, tan cubes have waxy luster with fascinating stepped-growth faces. Pristine. Purple fluorescence. Ex Herb Obodda Fluorite Collection, which sold in the mid-1990s apart from his main, worldwide collection. He later bought part of it back and kept it in his main collection, as well. A very fine Illinois rarity. Value??
