Item Description
For the plethora of minerals found in Brazil, a common species like Fluorite is almost non-existent. This piece is an unusual example from the Santa Rosa Mine. The fact that it's nearly colorless Fluorite (very pale green) is interesting enough, combined with the fact that the unique etching pattern makes for a wonderful overall specimen. One can see the remains of the isometric crystal form and the amazingly gemmy interior. If you collect gem crystals, or specifically GEM thumbnail / toenail specimens, do not miss out on this cool dispaly specimen from Brazil!! Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#10377). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
