Item Description

Fluorite is obviously known from a wide variety of localities in numerous habits and colors, but the specimens from the Boulder Hill Mine in Nevada are distinctive and interesting. The crystals on this specimen have a distinctive "smoky" / silvery hue with smooth, lustrous cubic faces. The largest crystal measures 3.1 cm. At first, I mistook it for a Spanish Dolomite from the Azcarate Quarry. If you collect Fluorites or specimens from the western US, don't miss out on this one, it's hard to photograph, but better in person.
