Fluorite (rare French locale)

Item Description

This is a hard to find Fluorite specimen from the lesser-known Four de Cluzel Mine in the Department of Tarn in southwestern France (about 60 miles northeast of Toulouse). These are from contemporary find, but they are still not commonly seen for sale. Their enticing golden-yellow color, combined with good-sized, sharp, lustrous cubic crystals makes for very attractive and desirable specimens. This piece is a very attractive large miniature / small cabinet featuring a few sharp, lustrous, translucent cubes measuring up to 2.7 cm with a "druse" of little sparkling white Quartz crystals on select faces. If you collect worldwide Fluorites, or specifically French Fluorites, this is something that I'll bet you don't have in your collection, and it's a worthwhile pickup for the size, quality and color.
