Fluorite (rare for Brazil)

Of the multitude of species found in the various pegmatites in Brazil, Fluorite is oddly absent. While Fluorite is not unheard of from other pegmatite localities around the world, we see very little from anywhere in Brazil. Recently there was a discovery of well-crystallized Fluorites as the lesser known Castelo Pegmatite in Espirito Santo. This attractive miniature features a razor-sharp, rather lustrous, intense dark purple colored cubic crystal of Fluorite measures 2.1 cm on edge, sitting atop bladed beige colored Albite and pinkish Microcline matrix. The Fluorite is actually twinned(!) in two spots, where two smaller cubes have formed the classic penetration twin (on a diagonal twin axis). No major damage that I can see with the naked eye. If you collect worldwide Fluorites, pegmatite minerals of species from Brazil, this is a MUST HAVE specimen as they are almost never seen on the market.
