Item Description

Among the various Zeolites and associated mineral species in the Deccan Trap, there are some of the most interesting and unique Fluorites. Virtually all of the Fluorites we've seen from this area are oddly spherical in habit, which is quite rare for a species that it literally found all over the world. This miniature sized specimen not only features rare "balls" of Fluorite, but they have a notably RED color, which is also quite rare for the species. The combination of the color and unusual shape make this a very desirable specimen. The largest "ball" measures 1.3 cm across, and are sitting on translucent, soft golden colored Calcite matrix. No major damage on the display side, and a very worthwhile piece for any fan of Fluorites or minerals of India.
