Item Description

Pretty mint-green, densely intergrown, translucent fluorite octahedrons, to 1.1 cm, with satin luster faces richly cover the undulating matrix on this showy and excellent small cabinet plate. Fluorite specimens are uncommon from this obscure California deposit, known for green crystals. Purple fluorescence. Afton Canyon and the Felix Mine in Azusa are the only two California localities that produce green and octahedral fluorites. Seldom on the market.
