Item Description

Two, glassy, highly lustrous, translucent, fluorite cubes to 3.4 cm on edge dominate this showy and excellent large combination plate from the Robert Fender Collection. The color-zoned purple cubes have intense stepped-growth faces, pretty purple color with classic darker purple edge phantoms. The matrix includes quartz, sphalerite and a few calcite crystals. Fine material from the 1960s or 70s. Rich purple fluorescence.
