Item Description
Strange! This is undoubtably one of the most unusual and striking two-sided Riemvasmaak fluorite and quartz combinations we have offered at auction. Sharp, gemmy, beautiful rich green fluorite octahedrons preferentially cascade down the crest of the piece. Iron oxides are preferentially included in many of these octos, with a colorful effect. The boxwork "walls" consist of massive fluorite with a nifty partial overgrowth of drusy quartz. The unique walls were possibly casted hematite plates? or an unknown. Whatever, this is surreal and unique combination piece from this famous locale. The 'A' side is pristine. This is a dramatic and aesthetic combination piece. It displays beautifully without aid. Bright purple fluorescence.
